all the wongs doing
i cooked sweet and sour pork for dinner on sunday, chinese new year 1st day.
a lot of people commented that the meat was too tough, but honestly, i know why it's hard. it's not because i overcooked it (and i seriously doubt you can eat pork medium done) but because the meat used for it is the wrong part of the pig. hahaha.
i remember the first time i went to buy pork to cook sweet&sour pork, the uncle told me that sweet and sour pork needs a different part of the pig to use to cook, if not it won't be nice. so yah, and i'm rather positively sure that it is the wrong part cos the one my mum bought for me looks very different from the one the uncle gave me. his has more fats, but mum's one is like lean meat or something. oh wells!
